Rants about WWE that are too lengthy for Twitter / booking ideas
[Edition #5] - "WWE's priorities with their women put into perspective"
Just wanted to shed light on some facts to help those who can't see it themselves see that WWE's priorities with their women are fucked up and it's ruining the division in the process.
Alexa Bliss
Main roster debut: July 26, 2016 (a little over two years ago).
She has been in a title match on every single PPV that she's eligible for since her debut TWO YEARS AGO.
The ONLY possible exception is MITB this year. HOWEVER, she ended up cashing in on the women's title match, making it a triple threat and ended up winning the title that night so technically this is not an exception as she WAS in the women's title match for that PPV.
Her highest rated PPV matches have been MULTI-PERSON matches in which she does little to no work in the match.
- MITB 6-way ladder match: 4 stars
- Alexa Bliss did not take a single bump in the match and was laying at ringside for over 80% of the match.
- No Mercy fatal 5-way match: 3.5 stars
- Alexa Bliss again was hardly in the match and did the least amount of work of all competitors in the match.
- Elimination Chamber 6-way match: 3.25 stars
- Alexa Bliss was the last to leave her pod and spent the least amount of time in the match while taking limited bumps.
Her highest rated singles matches on PPV have been against two women and two women only. Take a second to guess who these two women are. I'll give you a hint....these two women stole the show at TakeOver Brooklyn in 2015 in which their match is still TO DATE the best women's match in WWE history.
If you guessed Sasha Banks and Bayley you are correct.
Alexa Bliss has ONLY TWO singles matches on PPV that have surpassed 3 stars.
- Payback 2017 vs Bayley: 3.25 stars
- Summerslam 2017 vs Sasha Banks: 3.00 stars
Every other match Alexa Bliss has performed in on PPV has been a ~2 star match or lower. Alexa is also a proud holder of a 0 star match on PPV.
I'm sorry but that's fucking pathetic. This is the woman who you choose to push on RAW... the 1-2 star match maker. She's been featured in EVERY title match on PPV since her debut, hasn't had a PPV singles match above a 3 star (and her 3 star matches are with Sasha and Bayley), and yet she is STILL being pushed ahead of Sasha Banks and Bayley and their feud.
Shit is fucking ridiculous.
But then when I say Alexa Bliss is over-pushed, people always want to clap back with "no she's talented she deserves it" ...uh her 1 star matches don't exactly scream "talent".
[Edition #4] - "Booking the Women's Money in the Bank"
We now know all 8 members of the women's money in the bank ladder match. Some of the women deserved to qualify while others are a complete joke. Regardless, there's no changing plans now and we kind of have to just take what we're given. I was thinking about all the possible outcomes of the match and how it would impact the women's division moving forward and I've come up with some interesting scenarios. This is a breakdown of all the possible winners and how I would book the match, the win and MITB run.
Winner: Natalya
I think most people have Nattie pegged as the next Ms. MITB due to her current ties with Ronda Rousey. WWE has been teasing a potential heel turn for Nattie and a future match-up against Rousey. As of now, there's absolutely no reason for Nattie to feud with Ronda. However, if Nattie wins MITB and cashes in during the Nia/Rousey match and 'steals' the title from Rousey, then there'd be something to feud about. WWE can also prolong the cash-in and have Nattie carry the contract until mid-summer and have her cash in and win the title then. This would give Ronda a big time match at Summerslam in which she can actually win the title from a believable champion in Natalya. Regardless of which way WWE goes with it, I think Natalya winning the contract this year would be a smart move. Natalya isn't considered to be someone who is 'over-pushed' by WWE and isn't likely to get a title opportunity otherwise. She has a story/feud going into this match that has already been established and would make sense to have her win the match to add to her credibility.
Winner: Ember Moon
I think Ember Moon has a really strong chance of winning this match. After all, the whole MITB concept is catered to up and coming talent who haven't won the big one. My only issue with this scenario is that Ember is a full-fledged babyface with no chance of turning heel anytime soon. I much prefer a heel MITB holder because it would suit them better. Regardless, Ember is someone that can benefit greatly from the contract. Currently, she hasn't really been given anything to do on RAW aside from random matches here and there. I think it would be amazing to launch Ember's career by making her Ms. MITB and giving her storylines post-match to build her up until her eventual cash-in. I love Ember, but personally, I wouldn't have her win. I say this because Ember will no doubt be in title contention with or without the contract. She's too good not to get the title. But who knows, WWE's priorities with the women are fucked up and WWE might end up dropping the ball with her like they did Asuka.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
Nobody with a fucking brain wants to see this, sorry. Alexa Bliss just got done a long-ass title reign that buried the division around her and buried the title with it. She was absolutely horrible as RAW women's champion and she needs to take a step back from the spotlight because the majority of people are sick and tired of her. Regardless, there is still a chance she might end up walking out of Chicago as this years Ms. MITB. The only good thing about her winning is that she is currently the only legitimate heel in the match and a heel MITB carrier is my preference. But again, we don't want to see Alexa Bliss hog the spotlight once again. WWE would probably have her cash-in during the Nia/Rousey match by pinning Nia. This would leave Rousey undefeated and leave her open to feud with Natalya while Alexa and Nia get entangled in another god awful feud for the title like we got for Wrestlemania. That's literally the only scenario I see happening with Alexa winning and it would be boring and the same old shit and nobody wants to see it. Sorry Bliss fans.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Sasha winning the MITB ladder match is not something many people are expecting. Since coming to RAW, Sasha's played second fiddle to Charlotte and now Alexa. She hasn't really had the spotlight on her and I think Sasha Banks as Ms. MITB would be amazing....on one condition: she turns heel. Like Nattie, Sasha also has a pre-established feud/storyline going into this match. Although WWE has done a piss poor job of booking the feud, the feud still exists and is ongoing. I think it's time to shine the spotlight on Sasha Banks and Bayley. Seeing as how WWE is slowly building Sasha/Bayley for god knows what, if Sasha were to win, there is a strong chance that we could be getting the LONG AWAITED heel turn. Picture this, Sasha Banks ends up winning the MITB contract. She heads to RAW and cuts a promo about how she's the best the division has ever seen and how she's gonna eventually take her spot at the top of the division where she belongs when she cashes in. Over the next couple weeks, WWE can have Bayley be genuinely supportive of Sasha while Sasha is a little hesitant to befriend Bayley once again. As we know, Bayley has been the one who is sick of Sasha's bullshit and her arrogance while Sasha's been the one to try and patch things up. But now that Sasha is succeeding and making plans for her future, Bayley suddenly wants to be friends again....or at least that's how Sasha sees it. WWE can pull the trigger on Sasha Banks turning heel by having her attack Bayley and ridding herself of the anchor that's been holding her down. Being realistic, I do not see Sasha or Bayley holding the women's title this year with the impending Rousey/Flair match at Wrestlemania set to take place. Instead, what if WWE got creative. What if at summerslam, we do indeed get Sasha Banks vs Bayley, but not for the title, instead, for the MITB contract. What if Bayley's never die attitude causes Sasha to make an irrational decision to put her contract on the line and if Bayley loses, she leaves RAW. (Idk, just typing away right now, this might not be realistic at all but I'm just tryna see Bayley/Sasha on the big stage in Brooklyn).
Winner: Charlotte
Much like Alexa Bliss, a Charlotte MITB run is not exactly what the fans want to see. Charlotte just lost the title a month ago and it's time for her to move aside and let other women have the spotlight. Charlotte is practically guaranteed a royal rumble win and a Wrestlemania MAIN EVENT for the RAW women's title against Ronda Rousey next year....she doesn't need this. She also doesn't deserve it. Let someone else run with the ball this summer. Again, regardless of my opinion, a Charlotte win is also very possible. If she does end up winning the match, I see her cashing in during the Asuka/Carmella match and winning the title back. Charlotte would pin Carmella to kind of get back her lose to her and do to her what Carmella did to Charlotte. What would be interesting in this scenario is Asuka. Charlotte would be impeding on Asuka's chance at the title after ending her streak not that long ago. I can see this playing up and having Charlotte vs Asuka part II at Summerslam where Asuka would eventually win the title and beat the woman who ended her streak. Although this is intriguing, I still wouldn't have Charlotte win the contract. Charlotte can win the women's title back on any given night just based on her last name, she doesn't need the briefcase.
Winner: Lana
Lmao.
Winner: Naomi
Naomi received a decent title reign last year and has since become a notable name in the women's division. Since losing her title, she has taken a back seat on SDLive and hasn't really done much. I don't really see Naomi winning the MITB match because she really has no storyline going for her right now. Giving her the contract would be like starting from scratch and having to make shit up as you go until she cashes in. If she does win the contract, I don't see her cashing in right away. I think she'll hold it until after the royal rumble to make things more unpredictable for the direction of the SD women's title match at Wrestlemania. Again, I see no intrigue in a Naomi win because WWE really hasn't focused on her much and hasn't really given her anything to work with.
Winner: Becky Lynch
Last but certainly not least is the woman who many are hoping to walk away from the match as the new MS. MITB. I think we're all in agreement that WWE has treated Becky poorly for the majority of her main roster run. They gave her a short title reign after the initial brand split when she got out from underneath Charlotte's shadow but have had her sit in catering since. Now, she's back to being in Charlotte's shadow doing nothing but being a cheerleader when needed. It's really sad that a talented woman like that is being portrayed the way that she has by WWE. Anyways, there is one bright spot to all of this and that's Becky's undeniable position as the ultimate underdog. WWE has highlighted Becky's continuous losing streak on SD over the past few weeks and made it seem like the BIGGEST accomplishment when she beat Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville...two worthless talents that are greener than grass. I think Becky winning the contract would do wonders for her stagnant career. Becky is someone that the fans can genuinely believe in, sort of like a minor version of Daniel Bryan but for the women. I think if Becky does indeed win this match, she would get a huge ovation from the crowd. WWE can continue building her up as the ultimate underdog by having her feud with heels who want to see her fail her cash-in. Who might these heels be you may ask? The IIconics. The IIconics have been portrayed as this generations Laycool with the way they bully the other women on the roster. The IIconics should be booked to bully Becky and cost her matches left and right out of shear jealousy. Becky, who's a fighter, would attempt to fight them off the best she could but the numbers game would be too much. Similar to the way I'd book Sasha/Bayley, Becky should get fed up with the IIconics constant hackling and should challenge one or both of them in a singles or triple threat match where she puts her contract on the line. Obviously, I'd have Becky pick up the win here to give her much needed momentum for when she eventually decides to cash in. (Again, I'm just wishful thinking here....it's fun when you use your creativity to book shit).
Final Thoughts
Regardless of who ends up winning the match, the winner NEEDS to be featured in matches and feuds leading up to their cash-in. Carmella was a failure as Ms. MITB because she was off TV with no feud or storyline for the majority of her MITB run and quite honestly, I forgot she even had the contract. WWE needs to do better this time around and have Ms. MITB featured on the show every week in some sort of storyline to build up their momentum.
[Edition #3] - "Booking the Women's Rumble"
WWE has announced its plans to hold the first ever women's Royal Rumble match this upcoming January. Lot's of people, including myself, have been both happy and skeptical of this match up. The announcement of the match seemed forced, and the recent call-ups to the main roster are greener than grass in the ring. Regardless of how I feel, the match is taking place and the only thing we can do is hope for the best. With that said, let's talk about how I would book the first ever women's Royal Rumble match including: iron woman, entry order, final two and the winner.
Iron Woman
Every rumble thus far has had its ironman: someone who draws a low number and lasts the longest in the match until finally being eliminated. I believe Sasha Banks will be this year's iron woman. Sasha can get the crowd going, she has great chemistry with the majority of the women and most of all, she's a believable winner that fans can get behind and cheer on.
Entry Order
- Sasha Banks
- Peyton Royce
- Liv Morgan
- Carmella
- Billie Kay
- Bayley
- Sarah Logan
- Mandy Rose
- Becky Lynch
- Dana Brooke
- Kelly Kelly
- Sonya Deville
- Asuka
- Victoria
- Ruby Riot
- Paige
- Nikki Cross
- Nia Jax
- Lana
- Tamina
- Michelle Mccool
- Alicia Fox
- Nikki Bella
- Mickie James
- Lita
- Naomi
- Natalya
- Trish Stratus
- Beth Phoenix
- Brie Bella
For the match to be a success, WWE has to be creative. Coming out of the rumble, we should have a winner AND multiple other stories or feuds that happened during the rumble. Only one woman can win the rumble, however, other woman can benefit from the rumble by having some sort of impact in the match and having it carry out past the rumble and (hopefully) to Wrestlemania. This is why entry order is very important. I put Sasha Banks at #1 and Peyton Royce at #2 because that is a match that I personally want to see. It's a fresh match-up and a surprise debut for the fans and I think it would be the perfect way to kick off the match. I put Liv Morgan and Carmella in next to fill up space and be jobbers. I put #5 as Billie Kay who will be in the ring with her Iconic Duo, Peyton Royce, and they can beat on Sasha Banks. Bayley comes in at #6 and makes the save and we get a little tag team tease with the Iconic Duo vs 'The Boss and Hug Connection'. This little tease will be nothing more than just a fun little interaction between the two teams and it won't factor into the finish at all. Next, Sarah Logan and Mandy Rose are both just fillers. At #9 will be Becky Lynch who hasn't been on TV in a while since being written off to film for a movie. If her return happens at the rumble, she would get a nice pop and would add to the women who are already in the ring. Also, we can have Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch square off in the ring with a fun little throwback to their NXT days. Dana Brooke, Sonya Deville and Kelly Kelly are just fillers. I'm hearing Kelly Kelly's name being thrown around to be in the rumble so that's why I included her. She wouldn't factor into anything and her 3 or 4 fans might be excited to see her back but that's pretty much it. Next, 'lucky' #13 is Asuka. Asuka coming in midway is the perfect choice for Asuka. She can show her dominance by eliminating the jobbers like Kelly Kelly and Dana Brooke from the ring. Next, I would love to see Victoria make an appearance in the rumble. I think WWE fans would love to see Victoria back and she would be in the ring with the likes of Asuka, Sasha, etc. I would have Asuka and Victoria have a stare down and eventually have Asuka eliminate Victoria (who is a legend in her own right) to further make Asuka look strong. Next is Ruby Riot who is just a filler. At #16 is Paige. Paige can get in the ring and have a stare down with Asuka or Banks. After Paige, we can get the debut of Nikki Cross at #17. Imagine a Nikki Cross and Paige stare down. I think that would be a fun little teaser for a future match between the two. Next we have Nia Jax who will come in and clear house. She'll be the Kane or Big Show in the match up clearing all the jobbers from the match. Next is the biggest jobber of all, Lana. Lana comes in and gets eliminated by Jax right away. And coming in next is Tamina. Tamina and Jax can have a stare down in the ring and battle it out before the other women in the ring band together to eliminate the both of them Big Show style. Next up is Michelle McCool who will be a fun surprise for some but ultimately just be a filler like Alicia Fox who comes in after her. At #23 is Nikki Bella. We all know she's coming back, and because of her injuries, I think she'll come in towards the end of the rumble. At #24 is Mickie James. After that, it's Lita who would get a decent reaction from the crowd and she can have a stare down with Mickie James who pretty much retired Lita. Naomi and Natalya are up next, both are just fillers at this point. At #28 I would have Trish Stratus come out. I think she would get a massive ovation from the crowd and we can have a Lita and Trish stare down in the ring which I think would be a memorable moment in the rumble. As well, you have Mickie James in the ring who has also had her history with Trish. Imagine if we had Trish, Lita and Mickie in the ring together at the same time (nostalgia to one of my favourite era's). Beth Phoenix comes in next because why not. She can have a fun little reunion with Natalya in the ring and she can mix it up with Trish and Lita. Lastly, I'd give #30 to a returning Brie Bella. Brie isn't winning it and she hasn't been seen in the WWE since her retirement at Wrestlemania two years ago so it would be a cool moment for the 12 Total Diva fans in attendance.
Final Two
I think Asuka and Sasha Banks will be the final two competitors in the rumble. It would be an awesome little stare down as both women haven't really crossed paths yet and I think it would end the rumble on a good note and leave the fans happy with the overall match.
Winner
Who do I think is going to win the first ever women's Royal Rumble? I think that honour will go to Asuka. I think Asuka and Sasha will put on a great fight in the end as the final two and Asuka will eventually eliminate Sasha Banks and pick up the victory.
Final Thoughts
WWE needs to be creative when they book the rumble. They need to think in advance who's coming in when, who will be their final two and who will eventually win the match and the aftermath of the match. Asuka is your rightful winner. Asuka will win the RAW Women's Title at Wrestlemania, only question is....who will she be winning it from? Honestly, Alexa bliss gotta go. I don't see Bliss taking the title into Mania because her reign and a matchup at Mania including her would not be Wrestlemania-worthy, especially not with Asuka. I think Alexa Bliss will drop the title at Elimination Chamber. There are rumours circulating that Triple H and Vince McMahon are butting heads over what the RAW Women's Title match will be at WrestleMania. Vince wants Paige vs Asuka while Triple H is pushing for Sasha Banks vs Asuka. So by those rumours, we can assume that Bliss will drop the title shortly after the rumble to either Paige or Banks. ALL BIAS ASIDE: I think it should be Sasha Banks and here's my reasoning why:
Sasha Banks is 100% moving to SDLive after Wrestlemania. Sasha's been on the red brand since the brand split and she's faced just about everybody on the roster. She needs a move to SDLive. With that being said, Sasha vs Asuka is a money match. If Sasha Banks is moving to SDLive after Mania, this is the last chance WWE has to capitalize on a Sasha Banks/Asuka feud. It's a fresh match up, both women can wrestle and I think they can potentially steal the show. If WWE goes with Paige vs Asuka at Mania and afterwards Banks is moved to SDLive, who does that leave on RAW? There's no money match left for RAW or the RAW Women's Title. I think Sasha Banks will turn heel at the Royal Rumble after being eliminated. I mean think about it, Sasha gets the worst entry possible (#1) and lasts the entire match only to be eliminated at the last second. Imagine the frustration and anger that would build up. Sasha Banks can turn heel and attack Asuka as she celebrates her victory. Over the coming weeks, Sasha Banks can voice her despair and how she always gets screwed and how she's carried the division on her back since the brand split and all she gets is two week title runs and a pat on the back. WWE can have the first ever elimination chamber in February for the RAW Women's Title and Sasha Banks can win the match and finally claim the title. This would set up Sasha Banks vs Asuka for Wrestlemania. Sasha Banks drops the title to Asuka at Wrestlemania and moves over to SDLive. Asuka remains on RAW and begins her dominate title reign.
[Edition #2] - "Booking Barbie"
Trish Stratus is currently the RAW Women's Champion. She was called up to the main roster during the brand split and was placed on SDLive. During the superstar shake-up, she was drafted to RAW. She currently resides on the moon with Reigns and Charlotte. She's been on the main roster for approximately a minute and she's already a 4x Women's Champion. She's set to debut on the seventh season of the hit reality show, Total Garbage, along side her best friend, The Rock's cousin. Anyways, this is how I would book Barbie moving forward.
Draft her to a Training Facility for Rookies
Lol. In my opinion, Bliss should NOT be a 4x Women's Champion at this stage in her career. I think by now, she should've held the title ONCE as sort of a trial run for her. Beating Becky Lynch for the SDLive Women's Title at TLC last year was the right call. Bliss was hot. She was an up and coming star and she presented something different to the division. Her heel work on SDLive was phenomenal and she continued to move up the ranks. With all this success, however, Bliss was still missing one key thing: wrestling skills. She's still very green in the ring and yes, she'll improve in time, but having her 'improve' in the spotlight is not the correct path for her. WWE tries so hard to make her the face of the RAW women's division when Bliss can't keep up with 95% of the roster (the other 5% being Dana Botch). She needs to work on her in-ring skills. But instead she decided to spend her 'extra-time' filming for Total Divas. It's sad to see. Shit like this pisses me off. You know you fucking need to work on your in-ring skills but instead you want to focus on being a cast member on a cringe reality show. Anyways, the first step for Bliss is to train and get better in the ring.
Knock her off her Pedestal
I think the best way to book Bliss moving forward is by give her a refreshing storyline. I think it's time for her character to evolve past the 'high-school mean girl' type-heel and into something more. So Bliss has been running roughshod over all the women on RAW and enjoying her Women's Title reign. Asuka's debut to the main roster is imminent and that leaves Bliss' days as champion numbered. If Bliss is the one to drop the title to Asuka then WWE should pull the trigger on a slow face turn for Bliss while Sasha Banks slowly turns heel to replace Bliss as the top heel on the brand. Imagine high school for a second...you have the popular mean girl sitting high and mighty. She bullies everyone into doing what she wants and gets away with it because she controls everything (in other words, she's the Women's Champion). One day, a new girl starts attending this high school. This new girl (Asuka in our scenario), is strong, confident and most importantly, doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. This catapults the new girl up the social ladder and makes the rest of the school idolize her for her bravery. The mean popular girl is no longer feared among the rest of the school because if the new girl can stand up to her, anyone can. The mean popular girl is then pushed off her pedestal and replaced with the much nicer new girl. At this point in movies, we usually get a happily ever after, right? But what about the popular mean girl? What about her happily ever after? The whole school has now turned on her and she begins to regret the way she use to be. She tries to amend herself in the eyes of her peers but they don't believe her bullshit. They all despise her and won't afford her any sympathy because they won't let go of what she did to them in the past. A group of girls who the mean girl use to pick on heavily have now teamed up against her and are making her life hell. Nothing is going her way. She has no friends, no credibility, and most importantly, no power. She puts her head down and takes it for as long as she can until one day she wakes up and realizes, NO. I deserve better...I deserve a second chance. And from there, she goes on to stand up to her bullies and proves to herself and to everyone that being at the top doesn't have to make you an evil person. You can be gracious and be at the top simultaneously. Now let's get back to wrestling. We can start it off with Alexa's best friend, Nia Jax, getting sick of her shit and ends up abandoning her. Bliss then loses the Women's Title to the more-popular Asuka. This will cause Bliss to lose her power and credibility. The rest of the division can sour on Bliss and treat her like dirt. I would have Billie Kay and Peyton Royce drafted to RAW and form an alliance with Emma (The Iconic Trio?) and become bullies who feel they need to assert their dominance over the recently fallen goddess, Alexa Bliss. They continue to torment her and push her down the division. Alexa Bliss, a now full-on face, can have a redemption story where she beats Billie, then Peyton, and then finally defeats Emma and shows everyone that she can take care of herself. Once she's done that, she'll be placed in a great position to re-challenge for the RAW Women's Title, only this time, as a babyface.
From there, you can do many things with Bliss. I think this sort of character evolution would be epic and would give Emma and the Iconic Duo something to do on the main roster (separate from the title picture). It would also be a storyline that would intrigue the audience and give the women's division more edge and more screen time. There is also a huge payoff for Bliss and the fans when she finally regains her title (as a babyface). Everyone loves a good redemption story and I think if WWE really wanted to, they can book it in an intriguing way that can span over months of TV time.
[Edition #1] - "Booking Banks"
Sasha Banks is a superstar on the WWE main roster that has had some very questionable booking. Just when you think WWE is going to pull the trigger on Banks, WWE seems to pull the rug right from under her and send her to the back of the line. Currently, Sasha Banks has been removed from the Women's Title picture and has been teaming with her 'best friend' Bayley. Three or four months ago, a Sasha Banks heel turn would've been epic. Instead, WWE decided they needed to focus on the overly pushed Alexa Bliss, so they nixed the heel turn and continued to make Bayley into a complete loser and make Sasha Banks into a pathetic champion who apparently can't defend her title properly. Great shit WWE. Fast forward to today, BOTH Banks and Bayley are being booed in every arena because of their horrendous booking. Again, great shit WWE. But hey, as long as we have the Trish Stratus bootleg in the spotlight, right? Anyways, here is how I would book Banks moving forward.
Draft her to Smackdown Live
Oh how I would love to hear the words, "Sasha Banks has been drafted to Smackdown Live". Unfortunately, WWE is fucking stupid. I'm currently not a fan of the SD women because to me they're stale and boring. God of cringe is the SD Women's Champion, Ric Flair is challenging for her 49th title reign, Ellsworthless is still a thing and last but not least, the ravishing waste of space is still employed on the roster. I think a move to Smackdown would do wonders for Banks' career and I think she would add excitement to the division. I would love to see Banks rekindle her feud with Becky Lynch, because let's face it, SDLive ain't doing shit with Becky and it's sad to see. You also have the option of doing Naomi vs Banks and relive the "Team BAD" incident. Overall, Banks needs a change in scenery. RAW clearly has dropped the ball with her and a move to SDLive in the upcoming draft might be the best decision for her.
Feud with Asuka
I would LOVE to see Sasha Banks feud with someone that can carry their own in the ring. However, a feud with Asuka can be both good and bad for Banks. If Sasha enters a feud with Asuka, she's taking another L, no question. I don't think Banks is in a place right now to take another loss but at the same time, it's Asuka! It would be a great opportunity for Banks to do something new and maybe even be the first one to challenge Asuka after her main roster debut. It would show that Banks is fearless (...fuck Nikki Bella...) and is willing to go up against any challenge that is placed in her way. Asuka currently has a lot of buzz surrounding her and having Banks be the one to challenge her would definitely be a good thing. Asuka is likely to be a face upon her debut. This gives Banks the leeway of turning heel during the feud. Maybe have Banks fall to Asuka in their first match and have a frustrated Banks abandon the nice-girl act and turn heel. In the long run, I think a feud with Asuka would be an amazing opportunity for Banks. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the person who ends up breaking Asuka's streak should be someone who's fallen victim to the streak. What I mean by that is the person who ends the streak should not do it in their first attempt. Banks taking a loss now would put her in a great position later on to be a serious contender to break the streak because she's already been in the ring with Asuka and she's studied her tactics.
Heel Turn
I think we're all waiting for the day that Sasha Banks snaps and bashes Bayley's face in lol. WWE has had so many opportunities to turn Banks heel but they've chosen not to because Barbie Bliss and her title reign is apparently the only priority when it comes to the RAW women. The excuse before was 'there aren't enough baby faces on the roster'. However, now, we have Bayley, Mickie James, Asuka and Nia Jax (who apparently turns face and back to heel and back to face all in one night....fuck off WWE). And after Emma turned her back on Alicia Fox on RAW, I think Fox might be a face now too. ANYWAYS, plenty of faces on the roster! Sasha Banks NEEDS a change and a heel turn would present a BIG change for her. A fresh character will get eyes back on her and we can FINALLY get the BOSS we all fell in love with in NXT. For Banks to turn heel, she would have to make a BIG impact and turn on someone noteworthy. Obviously, the name that comes to mind is Bayley. WWE has a LONG way to go to repair Bayley and her character after making her an embarrassment in the division. Once Bayley is back to a spot where the WWE fans are back on her side, a Banks heel turn on Bayley should happen to breathe some life back into the RAW women's division.
Whatever WWE choose to do, they NEED to realize that focusing on just one female and putting up the middle finger to the rest of the women is BAD and has a negative impact on the division as a whole. WWE needs to kick this habit of doing everything they can to please Alexa Bliss and fuck everyone else. Like honestly, I feel like WWE goes to Bliss and ask her...."Is everything okay? You okay? Is your booking okay? Who else do you want us to bury? You good? The oxygen in the room okay? You want a longer title reign? You want to be on Total Divas? Sure no problem".....like fuck off WWE. Bliss is green. She should not be a 4x Women's Champion at this stage. Focus on the women who've proven to you that they can go in the ring.
